Andrew was 11 when he left South Africa to sail the world with his family on their 50ft yacht. He literally grew up on the water cruising various parts of the world, being educated whilst at sea. During Andrew’s late teens, he was based in South America and the Caribbean. His family’s passion for sailing was contagious, and this led naturally into the professional yachting industry for Andrew. Andrew has over 275,000 miles of sailing experience logged, a large part of it in a professional capacity. Andrew holds a MCA Master, Yachts < 3,000 GT license. He has extensive cruising experience in the Caribbean, West and East Coast USA, East and Western Mediterranean, and the Pacific, and has captained charter and private yachts for the past twenty plus years.
Andrew worked with the MONDANGO program since 2011, originally joining MONDANGO 2 which chartered in the Mediterranean, UK and the Caribbean. He loves the charter experience and has many repeat clients who can attest to this. Andrew joined MONDANGO 3 in 2013 during the build in New Zealand and cruised the South Pacific and Asia. Andrew’s family embraces sailing; his ten year old loves all things sailing and watersports and his wife works in the industry. Andrew has a keen sense of how best to show young and old on board a fantastic time. Andrew is a natural explorer, enjoys diving, fishing, hiking, and most of all sharing his passion of the sea with owners and guests.

Twenty three years old from Auckland, New Zealand, Kate has sailed since she was young, and spent much of her childhood journeying around the waters of the North Island of New Zealand with her father. She is also an accomplished swimmer, and achieved gold at national level in her earlier years, partly due to her love for the water. Since then Kate has spent several years travelling the world, working on a mixture of superyachts of all sizes, both sail and power, private and charter. She enjoys the challenges yachting presents, the fascinating people she encounters, and the attention to detail required to offer service of the highest level. Always smiling, and never sullen, Kate loves to travel, and in her spare time enjoys fine wines and good food, interspersed with healthy living, hiking, adventure, and exploration. Kate looks forward to welcoming you aboard M/Y GREY MATTERS with her outgoing, bubbly personality.
Craig is a Master Chef, worked on several high profile yachts and is a proven and respected Chef in the industry. Worked on M/Y ICON, won the best chef award over 50 m in Antigua a couple of years ago, been a judge, travelled and worked privately in many exotic locations. Nothing fazes him.
Since a young age I was raised in Antigua around boats which created my instant interest in yachting. I love travelling and spending time around the sea so I’ve really enjoyed being able to work on a boat in the most amazing places. I’m a keen sportsman with watersports and tennis as my passion which I have done all my life in the Caribbean and in the UK. I want to keep working hard and learning new skills so I can keep progressing forward with yachting.
