Phil comes from a family with a seafaring tradition, his father was a marine engineer and his grandfather worked in the shipyards and ports of north east England. His love of the sea began at early age windsurfing, sailing and spear fishing around the British Isles. He became a keen scuba diver in his early 20’s and travelled to many of the world’s top dive destinations as he indulged his passion. Phil also played rugby to a high level winning representative honours in both rugby leave and union. He joined the yachting industry in 2005 and has worked on a variety of sail boats, motor yachts and dive boats in the South Pacific, Caribbean and Mediterranean. He joined TMB in 2010 and has been Captain since 2013. Phil and his crew would love to welcome you aboard for a holiday to remember.
Benjamin hails from Reims in north eastern France, the Champagne capital of the world. His love of cooking runs in his Family, his mother operated her own restaurant in the region and passed onto him her passion for food that he has to this day. After his military service he based himself in Paris and worked in traditional French gastronomic restaurants, Brasserie Parisienne and spent time in "Stohrer 1730" the oldest Patisserie in Paris. His international experience took him to Edinburgh, St Barths, F.W.I. and Switzerland where he worked both in Restaurants and as a private Chef. He has worked as a private chef for five years in St Tropez and operated his own company, "The Flying Chef" for two years, serving various clients in the area.
From St Tropez, Ben was introduced to the world of yachting and spent the next seven years working on various yacht's, including Mosaique, Lady Christine, Sea Century, Ladyship and Aminah
Having worked under his mentor Alain Ducasse, he realized his dream in 2012 by opening his own Bistro Mediterranean cuisine restaurant achieving recognition from the Guide Gault-Millau and Bib Michelin for Bistro for 2013 through to 2016
Benjamin brings with him the spirit of his cuisine, combined with the quality of the produce, married with the perfect seasoning, to create a unique gastronomic experience. His family background being French and a Italian, his primary cuisine is based around the Mediterranean, he will be happy to take you gastronomically around the world, during you stay on board including tastes for Asia, the Orient and the Middle East.
Benjamin is happily married to Vitalija, they live in Nice, France and they have a 7 year old "mini Ben" called Louis.
His passion in life, besides his family, is football and photography.
Kevin is the second longest serving crew member having joined us from an illustrious group of yachts, Oasis, Galaxy, and Jamaica Bay in 2012. He has spent his career in the hospitality industry starting with Trusthouse Forte in the UK, where he served as a food and beverage manager within the London division of hôtels, from there he moved to the Transatlantic Liner QE2 where he spent a futher five years as a restaurant manager. Looking to expand his personal service Kevin then moved into yachting and never looked back.
