KORU 163' Feadship 1983/2024 Profile

KORU: a SUPERYACHT REBORN

KORU, originally launched in 1983 as Azteca, is a 50-meter superyacht crafted by the renowned Feadship shipyard. Designed by the legendary Jon Bannenberg for Mexican billionaire Emilio Azcárraga, KORU has a rich history of innovation and elegance. Her sistership, Paraiso, and her futuristic design influenced Azcárraga’s later yacht, the 74.5-meter Blohm + Voss, Eco (now Zeus). This historical significance, coupled with her timeless design, makes KORU a standout vessel in the world of luxury yachts.

KORU's STORY

In February 2022, KORU arrived at Aykin Marina & Shipyard in Turkey for a comprehensive two-year refit by Ocean Technical, completed in April 2024. The transformation included a striking new navy hull with white detailing, an extended stern, and a brand-new sundeck. The interiors were entirely overhauled, converting the original television lounge into an additional guest cabin. These updates not only enhance her aesthetic appeal but also improve her functionality and comfort, making KORU more versatile and luxurious.

KORU's Features

KORU’s technical upgrades are equally impressive. She now features overhauled main engines, updated navigation systems, and the addition of Starlink for remote connectivity. These enhancements ensure that KORU is not only visually stunning but also equipped with modern amenities for ultimate comfort and performance. Her twin MTU diesel engines provide a cruising speed of 19 knots and a top speed of 22 knots, ensuring smooth and swift voyages.

Onboard Amenities

With accommodation for up to 10 guests across 5 staterooms, KORU offers an exceptional yachting experience. The extension of the stern by 3.2 meters includes a new expansive swim platform and a completely overhauled sundeck, perfect for outdoor leisure and entertainment. These features, combined with her flexible and luxurious living spaces, make KORU ideal for both private use and charter, catering to a variety of guest configurations.

Available for sale

Available for sale exclusively with Worth Avenue Yachts, KORU blends classic design with contemporary luxury. Her extensive refit, historical significance, and advanced technical upgrades position her as a unique and highly desirable superyacht.
