CENTURION

Originally from France, Safwene is a highly skilled captain with over 10 years of experience in the yachting industry. During his career Safwene managed to find time to become a French champion in kickboxing in 2019 with a 2nd Degree Black Belt. Safwene's journey in the yachting industry began as an engineer on various motor yachts. He then advanced to the position of 1st officer/engineer onboard CENTURION, before being promoted to captain in 2020. His extensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience enable him to effectively manage the demands of yacht management, owners, and crew members, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations. Familiar with most systems on board a motor yacht, Safwene aims to continually enhance his skills and strive to be the safest and most competent master. He is fluent in both English and French, and in his spare time, he enjoys a variety of sports including motorcycling, boxing, football, mountain biking, and playing chess.

Joshua is a passionate and adventurous chef, known for his innovative approach to experimenting with food. Classically trained in French fine dining, sophisticated cuisine, and patisserie, Joshua honed his skills across various esteemed establishments. His extensive experiences and disciplined, creative mindset enable him to craft refined dishes from diverse global cuisines. Originally from South Africa, Joshua is fluent in English and Afrikaans, with a basic proficiency in German. Beyond the culinary arts, he has a keen interest in mixology, further showcasing his versatility. Outside of the kitchen, Joshua is an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying paddle boarding, kayaking, and hiking. He also appreciates more serene activities, such as reading poetry. Comfortable in leadership roles and team settings alike, Joshua has a wealth of experience as a personal chef, head chef, and sous-chef in various South African restaurants. His organizational skills and dedication make him a valuable asset in any culinary endeavor.

Brandon is a highly organized, honest, hardworking, and positive individual. He excels in conflict management and always finds solutions to any obstacles. Focused and committed to healthy living, Brandon abstains from alcohol. He enjoys watersports, spending time outdoors—especially golfing—and has a passion for motorcycling and new technology. He can work with people of all personality types, pays meticulous attention to detail, and is unafraid of hard work or long hours. Brandon has been a member of CENTURION’s crew since February 2023 which has hugely shaped him for the various aspects of a mate/engineer role. Brandon is loyal and determined, his goal is to create longevity with a vessel and work his way up the hierarchy. Brandon speaks English and Afrikaans fluently.

Anro is a hard-working, respectful, and well-organized individual. His personal health and wellbeing are very important to him, and he enjoys exercise. His hobbies include watersports, and he finds reading very relaxing. Anro views obstacles as learning opportunities and is fortunate to be a fast learner. Before joining CENTURION, Anro worked as a Deckhand on a 38m S/Y, which taught him how to communicate professionally with people of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. Anro's overall goal in this career is to climb the hierarchy and create longevity in his line of work. Originally from South Africa, Anro speaks English and Afrikaans.

With over 12 years of dynamic experience in the hospitality industry, Katya has successfully navigated roles on luxury super yachts and high-end villas globally, ensuring the seamless operation of these exclusive establishments. Her proficiency extends to events coordination in the fitness industry in South Africa, complemented by a diploma in sports nutrition. Possessing a BA in Law, she is unafraid of hard work and brings a positive, ambitious mindset. In addition to her hands-on experience, Katya has a flair for creating engaging content for social media platforms. She understands the importance of showcasing the unique aspects of luxury hospitality to a broader audience. Katya is an experienced and determined stewardess who is constantly searching to continue to grow professionally. She is fluent in English with a basic proficiency in Afrikaans.

Before joining CENTURION, Anjenette gained comprehensive experience by working on a range of motor yachts up to 43m in size as well land-based positions as a waitress and bartender. Confident in all areas of the interior, she has set up for guest trips, organizing all provisioning and cooking delicious meals for guests and crew. Anjenette carries an extensive list of certifications and skills such as stewardess course certificate, food safety L2, barista training, wine service and mixology, table decorations and themed nights. She is an organized, adaptive young woman, thriving in fast paced environments. Anjenette holds a passion for photography and videography, which is evident through her drone flying skills. Anjenette is a fluent English speaker as she is originally from South Africa.
