With over 30 years as a professional yacht captain, Charles brings a deep, hands-on understanding of the industry to his role as a Yacht Consultant. Growing up on the West Coast of Southern California instilled in him a lifelong passion for boating—one he has always enjoyed sharing through teaching sailing and guiding new owners in how to enjoy, manage, operate, and care for their yachts.
Throughout his career, Charles has been directly involved in the purchase and sale of many of the yachts he has operated. This experience gives him a unique, well-rounded perspective on every side of a transaction: the buyer’s excitement, the seller’s priorities, the broker’s critical role, and—just as importantly—the specific needs of the yacht itself.
As a captain, Charles’s top priority has always been the safe and competent operation of each vessel, ensuring owners and their families can fully enjoy their time on the water. In yacht management, he has focused on proactive maintenance and thoughtful upgrades, keeping each yacht in prime condition and well-positioned for future resale.
