Jenny Mullen
Charter Management
Jenny Mullen is an experienced yacht charter manager and leader of the Charter Management division at Worth Avenue Yachts. With a career spanning onboard service, yacht operations, finance, sales and charter management, she brings an unusually well-rounded perspective to developing and managing successful luxury yacht charter programs.
Originally from London, Jenny studied Business and Finance before beginning her professional career with global sports management and media company IMG/TWI. She initially worked in accounting before transitioning into international sales and distribution of sports footage and media rights. Working with prominent sports and broadcasting clients gave her a strong foundation in financial management, sales, negotiation and client service.
Jenny’s passion for travel and the water eventually led her to pursue a career in yachting. She joined the 53-meter Swedeship DESTINY as a Junior Stewardess in Antibes and progressed to Chief Stewardess during approximately three years aboard. Her time on DESTINY included extensive cruising throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Bahamas, followed by a long-distance delivery from Fort Lauderdale to Singapore. She then spent six months operating throughout Malaysia and the Straits of Malacca, welcoming dignitaries aboard and gaining experience in a complex cruising environment.
After returning to the United States, Jenny worked for renowned television producer Merv Griffin, creator of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She served as Chief Stewardess aboard his 127-foot Abeking & Rasmussen THE GRIFF, formerly BATTERED BULL, and later aboard his 159-foot Schweers expedition yacht.
This extensive onboard experience gave Jenny a practical understanding of yacht operations, crew dynamics and guest expectations. It also taught her how decisions made ashore affect a captain and crew’s ability to deliver the experience promised to charter clients.
Jenny later stepped away from working aboard yachts to raise her family. For approximately ten years, she owned and operated a childcare business near Lauderdale Marine Center, serving hundreds of yacht captains and crew members. The experience kept her closely connected to the Fort Lauderdale yachting community while strengthening her skills in business management, communication, trust-building and problem-solving.
In 2015, Jenny returned to the marine industry, joining Ocean Independence as a bookkeeper and sales assistant. There, she developed a detailed understanding of the contracts, systems, procedures and commercial strategy behind luxury yacht charter. She subsequently joined Denison Yachting as a Charter Manager, overseeing a range of vessels that included Abeking & Rasmussen ELYSIAN.
Jenny joined Worth Avenue Yachts in 2019 and has played an important role in expanding the company’s Charter Management fleet. Today, she leads the Charter Management division, overseeing charter programs for yachts ranging from approximately 30 meters to more than 75 meters. She works closely with yacht owners, captains, crew and retail charter brokers to establish competitive pricing, strengthen market visibility, negotiate charter agreements and create programs aligned with each owner’s objectives.
Her approach is grounded in honest market analysis and realistic expectations. Jenny believes effective charter management requires balancing an owner’s commercial interests with the yacht’s operational capabilities and the expectations of charter brokers and guests. Her combined experience in finance, sales and onboard operations allows her to evaluate each yacht from both a commercial and practical perspective.
Jenny is also a trusted resource for the Worth Avenue Yachts Charter Management and retail charter teams, providing guidance on complex negotiations, MYBA charter agreements, pricing, cancellations, owner expectations and unusual charter requirements. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she helped navigate cancellations, force majeure provisions and rapidly changing travel restrictions while developing contractual strategies designed to better protect yacht owners.
Having cruised extensively throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas, North America, British Columbia, Asia, the Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, Jenny offers firsthand destination knowledge. She understands that a successful private yacht charter depends on more than selecting the right yacht—it requires carefully aligning the crew, itinerary, cuisine, activities and onboard atmosphere with each client’s expectations. An enthusiastic home cook and traveler, she takes a particular interest in the culinary side of the charter experience.
Jenny serves on the board of the American Yacht Charter Association (AYCA), where she supports the continued development of professional standards and mentors the next generation of yacht charter professionals.
Outside of yachting, Jenny enjoys gardening, cooking and creative pursuits, including pottery, printmaking and glasswork.
