Lucas Sikkema
Yacht Consultant
Lucas Fredrick Sikkema’s lifelong passion for the water began at an early age, when his very first job was running the boat-rental operation and fuel dock at a small marina on Otsego Lake in New York. His love for boating grew alongside a curiosity for the world, which led him to study International Relations and Urban Planning at the University at Albany in New York.
After college, Lucas rode a motorcycle across the country, eventually landing in Newport Beach California, where he worked as a Jetpack Pilot and deckhand. His dynamic career path then led him to Tesla, where he discovered a genuine passion for the art of sales. What others viewed as a transactional process, Lucas saw as an opportunity: helping people navigate decisions, negotiate confidently, and ultimately achieve a dream purchase. It was there that he realized he was born to sell—yet he never stopped missing life on the water.
When the opportunity arose to help a captain launch his own yacht brokerage, Lucas left the automotive world and returned to his true element. Combining his sales expertise with hands-on training at the helm of large private yachts, he spent the next decade immersed in the yachting industry, captaining vessels and honing a deep understanding of yacht ownership from every angle.
Today, Lucas is proud to bring his experience, energy, and client-focused approach to Worth Avenue Yachts. His journey has come full circle: he is back on the water, helping clients discover the missing piece of their dream and guiding them through one of life’s most exciting purchases.
