    Detailed Information

WOODCUTTER is a beautiful 56' East Bay Boatworks, built by Ricky Gillikin and launched in 2000. She was built as THUNDER and owned and maintained by her original owner until just a year or so ago. Her current owners moved her up the beach to Oregon Inlet where she spent the last season fishing off the Outer Banks.

She is powered by a pair of 8V2000 MTU engines with around 3700 original hours currently. She has a smooth 27 knot cruise and is considered by anyone who has ever been on her as the finest riding sea boat for her size they have ever ridden on. Her bottom design, wide beam and beefy construction schedule all serve to make her a true battleship among the array of custom boats built in the mid 50 foot range.

She has a huge cockpit with plenty of freeboard that offers a great fishing platform regardless of the application. The bridge layout is generous as well with a dual helm chair setup, large console to port and ample bench seating around.

Inside, she has a spacious salon with L shaped couch seating, double bar layout in the galley, dinette and a 2 stateroom / 2 head layout below with stacked crew bunks in the companionway as well.

A change in plans has now made WOODCUTTER available. She offers a great opportunity to get into a really pretty, well built boat that eats up the sea and has all kinds of potential to put into service immediately or to build on, to personalize and transform into a more modern sportfishing weapon.

Enter the salon to starboard into a very roomy interior cabin space. Carpeted sole with runner from the entrance to the galley, L shaped ultra-leather couch to port, large double bar galley area with overhead cabinetry and teak and holly sole, dinette with ultra leather cushioned seating starboard forward and a long 3 paneled storage, entertainment center, TV and electrical panel countertop cabinet from dinette to salon door.

Down the companionway and below there are stacked crew bunks to starboard, full day head with shower, V berth with stacked bunks to port and a master stateroom to port with full en suite head, separate single berths with storage cabinetry throughout.
