GENERAL DESCRIPTION
RED SKY is one of the iconic Swan 100s roaming the five oceans today. Conceived by her very deliberate, thoughtful, and experienced owner, this pilothouse model offers exceptional separation from business and pleasure. It is safe and comfortable for all and very smartly laid out for efficient captain and crew operations. RED SKY remains in a state of grace, given constant care, upgrades, and love by her second owners and very caring crew. RED SKY boasts a carbon fiber mast and in-boom furling, captive real winches for headsail, mainsail, and mainsail halyard, allowing single-handed sailing by the captain from joystick controls at each helm station, all for ease of sailing operations.
RED SKY is a 30m/100ft composite sloop of German Frers design built by Oy Nautor Ab (Nautor Swan) in Pietarsaari, Finland. Custom-built for her original owner, she has been managed and maintained by a professional crew of three since her launch in 2003. RED SKY has never been chartered or raced (she participated in the 2025 St. Barths Bucket). The yacht has been used for family sailing and has seen light use.
Annual care, general maintenance, upgrades, and scheduled service intervals have always been adhered to. RED SKY is now offered for sale by her second owner, who continues to offer generous priority, ensuring RED SKY is always kept in Bristol condition, both mechanically and cosmetically.

DECK & HULL
The recently painted hull is a brilliant Vivid Red Awlgrip with snow white cove and waterline stripes and black antifouling bottom. The Lyman Morse 2019 teak deck is glued with epoxy using a vacuum bag system, eliminating screw penetrations of the deck. The trunk cabin was recently painted with oyster white Awlgrip with a similar epoxy-glued teak deck system on the cabin top.
The reverse transom is fitted with a mechanical garage door for access to the yachts' tender, dive gear, and other toys. When the door is fully deployed, this provides a superb platform for water access. The garage is sealed from the interior of the vessel via a watertight bulkhead and is finished inside with oyster white Awlgrip paint.
The cockpit has a molded U-shaped settee and table and twin helm stations, each with their own bolster. Forward of the cockpit settee is the aft end of the cabin house with a built-in refrigerator, storage compartments, and a starboard companionway that leads to the main salon below. For sun and wind protection in the cockpit deck lounging and dining areas, a recently fitted, custom carbon hard dodger and hard top adds an exceptional dynamic to the overall feel of the yacht with fixed shade at rest or under sail. Side curtains can drop down to create a three-sided enclosure for further protection or privacy. All offer excellent protection from the elements, either underway or at anchor.
The interior of the entire yacht is finished with satin varnished teak bulkheads, cabinetry and sole. The overhead is finished with soft acoustic Ultra-Leather fabric. Lighting throughout is 24V; Recessed overhead lights have been upgraded to LED and additional incandescent side lamps, all with bulkhead mounted switches.
Additional rope lighting in the salon. DC LED lighting looks after the engine room while the exterior of the vessel has exceptional lighting via soft overhead lighting in hardtop creating an exceptional environment for alfresco dining while additional LED lighting set into boom and spreaders offer a beautiful display of the yacht in twilight conditions. Underwater lighting further enhances the ambiance.

CONSTRUCTION DETAILS
Built for world cruising with safety, performance, and comforts in mind.
The composite hull is of molded, laminated fiberglass and Aramid fibers with strategic carbon fiber using vinyl ester resins. The hull is stiffened with longitudinal, laminated stiffeners and Nomex honeycomb cored bulkheads. The hull has four full, watertight bulkheads, a half bulkhead through the lazarette, and multiple transverse gussets.
The keel is a 30-ton lead fin with a bulb fastened through an embedded steel fin with 14 x 2" stainless steel keel studs. The keel studs were all torqued during the refit. The decks are molded, laminated carbon fiber and Nomex core with strategically placed high-density core in the load areas. They are joined to the hull with full tabbing. The main deck is overlain with teak that is glued down via a vacuum bagging method.
The cabin/house is molded laminated fiberglass with low-density foam coring bonded and faired to the main deck. The portlights are fixed, and the companionway has a pneumatically controlled vertical hatch. There are also two opening hatches on the coach top. The cabin sole throughout the vessel is made with sandwich panels with teak veneer over aluminum framing.
The balanced spade rudder is a carbon fiber and foam core with a composite rudder stock reinforced with stainless bands at the bearing surfaces. The helm is dual wheel steering with chain/wire to painted aluminum quadrant. The wheels are carbon fiber with teak veneers. The vessel also has an emergency tiller, and a secondary transom-hung emergency rudder.
