Offshore Yachts
Offshore Yachts began its journey during World War II, when founder Richard O. Hunt pioneered laminated fiberglass hull construction for auxiliary navy vessels. By 1948, he launched his first pleasure craft, laying the groundwork for a company that would become a leader in high-quality motor yachts. This family-run business now stands on over seven decades of craftsmanship and design excellence.
Collaborating with naval architect William Crealock in the 1960s, Offshore Yachts embraced innovative hull shapes, including the “deep forefoot” and “finely veed” forward sections. These design elements prioritize a smooth ride, exceptional handling in rough seas, and fuel-efficient cruising—all without sacrificing luxury or onboard comfort.
With more than 300 yachts launched to date, Offshore Yachts has produced a fleet of reliable, semi-custom vessels ranging from 54 to 92 feet. Standout models include the 72’ Pilothouse and the 66’ Offshore, while recent successes such as SIERRA FOX and OUR GIRL underscore the brand’s lasting appeal in the brokerage market.
Offshore Yachts integrates advanced systems and safety-minded layouts, ensuring peace of mind during extended cruising. From carefully placed exits to optimized engine access and quiet ride technology, each detail is engineered to enhance both safety and enjoyment. Their yachts continue to uphold a reputation for durability, value retention, and owner satisfaction.
