WINDIGO is a 2003 Beneteau 50’ aft-cockpit, 2 cabin, semi-custom owner’s version, fiberglass masthead rigged cruising sloop. Never been on charter, privately used only. This boat is the perfect cruising sailboat, recognized for its elegance, exceptional comfort, and excellent performance under sail.
Designed by renewed Farr Yacht Design, it combines a fast and stable hull with generous interior volumes, ideal for long-distance sailing, club racing, as well as life on board.
Powered by a 100hp Yanmar engine and equipped with bow thruster, generator and reverse-cycle air conditioning, she is well set up for straightforward handling and comfortable living aboard. Accommodation
Access to the accommodations is via a traditional companionway with acrylic washboards and an acrylic sliding hatch. The saloon has a C-shaped dinette to port with a centerline bench/cabinet facing to port with richly toned teak woodwork. A pair of air handlers is located below the seating with additional storage.
Large salon table with built-in seating and two movable teak captain’s chairs. The table can be lowered and converted into either a comfortable lounge or an additional bed.
A pair of armchairs is immediately forward of the galley aft of the dinette is an aft-facing nav desk. Built-in bar cabinet on the forward bulkhead as well.
To port are two upholstered seats surrounded by built-in storage cabinets and storage space below.
The aft quarter berth is to port, with a framed door for privacy.
The day head is to port, aft of the nav station, and is equipped with a fresh water marine head, fiberglass molded vanity with wash-hand basin. The compartment is a wet stall shower.
Moving forward is the owner’s stateroom, which is after the main bulkhead door with a centerline queen berth. There is a hanging locker to port with a short settee to starboard. Ventilation is from port lights and a cabin fan; 4 deck hatches above the berth for additional light and ventilation.
Immediately aft to port is an ensuite head compartment with electric head, vanity, and a large separate shower stall with ensuite head and shower.
