At 15,917GT the Lürssen yacht Dilbar is considered one of the largest yachts in volume. Originally known as Project Omar, the 156-metre Dilbar yacht was launched in 2016 after nearly four and a half years in-build.
Designer Espen Oeino has created an exterior consisting of light ivory with bronze accents to compliment her owner’s other yacht. Her interior comes from the drawing boards of Winch Design and is the design studios largest superyacht to date. On board, she can accommodate 36 guests across 20 cabins, and is taken care of by a crew of 96.
Her most notable features are the two helipads located on the bow and aft of the upper deck. These helipads can safely hold Dilbar’s dedicated H175 helicopter for up to seven passengers. On board, Dilbar features a 25-metre pool containing 180 cubic meters of water, one of the largest pools ever installed on a yacht.
Thanks to modern technological innovations and a 30,000kw diesel-electric power plant, Dilbar is able to reach a top speed of 22.5 knots.

The US Department of Justice stated that 147m superyacht Topaz, now known as A+, estimated to be valued at $688,000,000, was purchased in part with assets linked to the Malaysian funds 1MDB currently involved in bribery and money-laundering scandal. In the 1MDB case, the DOJ is helping Kuala Lumpur to recover US$3.5 billion fraudulent assets. The recovery campaign includes the seizure of artworks, real estates and bank accounts. The case over the funding of yacht Topaz is still going on in legal battle with Abu Dhabi in the London courts.
So far, the Malaysian Authorities have recovered more than US$1 billion in assets. Among them, Malaysian financier and international fugitive, Jho Low, at the origin the 1MDB fraud, has already seen items seized by the Malaysian Government, including his 91m superyacht Equanimity in August 2018.
