"Since 1950, nothing has been more synonymous with summer in Seattle than Seafair."

Before the Seahawks and the Mariners. Before the Space Needle punctuated the skyline. Seattle had Seafair — a tradition born from ambition and a love of the water that has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest’s most beloved summer events, touching more than two million people each year.

For 2026, Worth Avenue Yachts is placing four private motor yachts on Lake Washington for the full Seafair weekend — July 31 through August 2. Whether you’re watching the Blue Angels perform their Saturday and Sunday displays, or taking in the raw speed of unlimited hydroplane racing, your private deck is the finest vantage point in Seattle.

    Since 1950

    Seattle's Longest-Running Summer Tradition

It began as a plan to celebrate Seattle’s centennial — a ten-day festival in August 1950 designed to showcase a city thirsty for recognition. The inaugural event featured parades, boat races on Green Lake, and a volunteer energy that has never left. The following year, unlimited hydroplane racing arrived on Lake Washington, and Seafair found its identity.

Now in its 75th year, Seafair spans more than 30 community events, sustained by nearly 3,000 volunteers and a mission to create experiences that celebrate the best of living in the Pacific Northwest.

Seafair Weekend: Three Days on the Water

The Seafair Weekend Festival is Seattle’s premier boating event, air show, and festival — all in one. Here’s what makes the weekend unmissable for those on the water.

    The Blue Angels

The U.S. Navy’s elite flight demonstration squadron performs over Lake Washington on Saturday and Sunday. From a yacht deck, you’re directly beneath the action.

    Unlimited Hydroplane Racing

The fastest boats in the world thunder down the Lake Washington course at speeds exceeding 200 mph — a spectacle Seafair has hosted since 1951.

    The Log Boom

Seafair’s legendary log boom marks the inside of the race course — the closest, most coveted viewing position on the lake. WAY can arrange log boom positioning.

    Questions

What to Know Before You Book

Do I need to charter for the full weekend?

No. Day charters are available for individual dates within the Seafair weekend — July 31 through August 2. Full-weekend packages are also available for guests who want to stay aboard across multiple nights.

    What does “plus expenses” mean?

Charter rates cover the vessel, captain, and crew. Expenses typically include fuel, provisioning, dockage, and event fees. Your WAY broker will provide a detailed APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) estimate at booking.

Can we watch the Blue Angels from the yacht?

Yes — the Blue Angels perform their peak displays on Saturday and Sunday directly over Lake Washington. From a deck position on the water, the aerial view is unobstructed and remarkably close.

What is log boom positioning, and can we get it?

The log boom lines the inside of the hydroplane race course — the closest legal viewing position to the race action. WAY can work with you to explore log boom positioning, subject to Seafair event authority availability. Contact a broker early.

How many guests can each yacht accommodate?

Day charter capacities: M/Y Checked Out — up to 12 guests; M/Y Northern Light — up to 6 guests; M/Y Summer Sunset and M/Y Voyager — each up to 12 guests. All vessels include captain and crew.

    How soon should I book?

Seafair charter availability is limited and fills well ahead of the event. We recommend inquiring as early as possible — particularly for Saturday and Sunday, the peak Blue Angels display days.
