Momentum You Can Measure: 37 Yachts Sold in 4 Months
37 yachts sold. Four months. Nearly $200M in asking price. A clear signal that the market is moving… and Worth Avenue Yachts is leading from the front.
The 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival is almost here, with the boat show being held at the historic Old Port of Cannes. The previous yachting festival saw record attendance with over 54,000 visitors and over 620 boats at the show ranging from 3 to 50 meters. This year’s show is expected to be even bigger, with Worth Avenue Yachts showcasing the 52-meter Palmer Johnson yacht DB9. DB9 will be one of the biggest yachts for sale at the Cannes Yachting Festival and is sure to stand out.

Designed inside and out by Italian studio Nuvolari & Lenard, luxury yacht DB9 features striking yet elegant curves, with a sleek and modern interior. She was the 1st hull of the Palmer Johnson PJ 170 Sport Yacht range and is notably the only yacht in that series to feature a stunning open sundeck.
Staying outside, DB9 has impressive features such as 3 separate pool areas along with an open-air cinema on the sundeck. This megayacht focuses on the outdoor lifestyle, as DB9’s aft deck offers direct access to the water for a swim, or to use her impressive water toys.

The aft deck is the perfect spot for entertaining guests with a large lounge area, a full wet bar, and covered dining space for al-fresco meals. Heading to the foredeck, you’ll find an 8m swimming pool offering another space to relax. Afterward, take the aft stairs and they’ll lead you to the infinity-edge jacuzzi pool and ocean views.

Moving inside, luxury yacht DB9 offers accommodations for 12 guests with 5 luxurious staterooms. Overall, one of DB9’s stand-out features is the full-beam owner’s suite, located aft on the lower deck. The owner’s stateroom features a walk-in closet and a large ensuite bathroom. DB9 also includes 2 double staterooms and 2 twin staterooms with an additional Pullman berth.
For propulsion, DB9 cruises at 24 knots, and impresses with a maximum speed of 32.5 knots, no small feat for a 52-meter megayacht. This comes from 2 MTUs that combine for 9226 hp. She has an aluminum hull and superstructure and was extensively refit in 2019. This included overhauling the MTU engines, and giving yacht DB9 the unique champagne color in a complete re-paint. With this refit, this luxury yacht looks brand new and is in impeccable condition.
Undoubtedly, all eyes will be on the French Riviera as the festival takes place. The Cannes Yachting Festival will orchestrate this event by moving more than 100 sailing boats, monohulls, and multihulls to Port Canto to host the largest in-water exhibition in the world of new sailboats. Motorboats are remaining in the Vieux Port and sailing boats are heading for Port Canto. Palmer Johnson Yacht DB9 will be available for showings at the festival, as you can tour this special yacht for sale or any other vessel for sale with Worth Avenue Yachts.
