Horsepower Meets Harbor: Worth Avenue Yachts at the 2026 Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week

Last updated October 2026, by Jonathan Chapman CPYB, Northeast / Mid-Atlantic Partner

Every October, Newport trades its summer regatta energy for something equally polished: the roar of a V12, the gleam of hand-formed coachwork, and a lawn full of the rarest automobiles on the planet. The 2026 Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week delivered all of that and more, culminating on Sunday, October 4, at historic Fort Adams State Park.

Worth Avenue Yachts was proud to be an official sponsor of the 2026 Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week, joining a roster that included A. Lange & Söhne, Bentley, Ferrari of New England, and Rolls-Royce Boston. For us, Newport isn’t just a destination on the calendar… it’s home to one of our five offices, alongside Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Seattle, and Monaco. Supporting the Concours is a natural extension of our presence in the community and our appreciation for anything built with exceptional care.

A New Home at Fort Adams

For the first time, the Concours d’Elegance moved to Fort Adams State Park, one of the largest coastal fortifications in the United States. Named for President John Adams and built between 1824 and 1857, the fort sits right at the mouth of Newport Harbor, with Narragansett Bay as its backdrop.

The setting was spectacular. 191 cars from across the USA and Europe paraded onto the lawn and through the fort’s historic walls, evaluated by more than 60 judges from around the world. According to Audrain Group President Nic Waller, the move “allowed us to welcome more cars, more enthusiasts, and a new generation of collectors to Newport.”

A First for Newport: The Audrain Supercar Concours

Motor Week 2026 also introduced something new. On Saturday, October 3, Fort Adams hosted the inaugural Audrain Supercar Concours d’Elegance, devoted entirely to supercars and hypercars, a corner of the collecting world that has long been underrepresented on the concours lawn.

Top honors at the debut event went to Rob Kauffman’s 1993 McLaren F1 XP4 Prototype, a fitting first champion for a category built on engineering ambition.

Where Coachwork Meets Yacht Design

Walk the lawn at Fort Adams and the parallels to yachting are hard to miss. A Figoni et Falaschi body and a custom yacht interior share the same DNA: one-off design, hand-finished detail, and owners who treat their pieces as legacies rather than possessions.

It’s no coincidence that Newport, America’s yachting capital, makes such a natural home for the Concours. The same collectors who admire a boat tail Bentley on Sunday afternoon are often the ones stepping aboard a motor yacht on Monday morning.
