Constructed in 1921 by legendary German shipbuilder Max Oertz, S/Y “Aello” originally belonged to the prominent Greek – Egyptian merchant Antonis Benakis who bestowed important museums and collections to Greece. During its almost century-long history, it has sailed the seven seas, exploring faraway and mysterious destinations, and winning prestigious regattas. “Aello” is the only remaining large schooner of Max Oertz design in the world. She was the very first vessel to be registered as a yacht in Greece upon the establishment of the yacht Club of Greece and today offers her guests the unique opportunity to explore the Greek islands in timeless style on this wonderful and luxurious classic yacht. (The last 11 photos shown are a preview of her recent refit/maintenance works whilst we await new professional photos)
