Bill Harris grew up on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. He was introduced to boating as a child running crab pots from a rowboat and traveling around the northern Chesapeake in a runabout. Growing up, he traveled extensively around Europe with quite a bit of time at a family vacation home in Switzerland. Here he was able to enjoy a favorite pastime of downhill skiing. After graduating college, he pursued a career as a marina manager, eventually managing the largest marina on the Chesapeake Bay. During that time, he acquired his captain’s license, pilot’s license and SCUBA certification. He has captained commercial passenger vessels and pleasure boats as well as tow boats. He has also owned and operated two marinas in Florida. This all led him to a long career selling yachts around the country while based in Maryland and for the last 25 years in Florida. After selling cruising boats and specializing in Kadey-Krogen Trawlers for more than 30 years, his extensive knowledge and experience are clear to all his clients. His dedication to them means that he answers calls and questions long after the sale is complete.

He has been married for over 32 years and enjoys spending time with his wife, Tracie, their two labradors and a variety of other animals. They lived aboard a trawler and a motor yacht for nearly 14 years before transitioning to land. His mini farm in FL now keeps him busy when he is not selling boats. He also enjoys off roading in his Can Am, riding his motorcycles and traveling in his RV.
