Parker Griffo is a yacht broker with Worth Avenue Yachts’ Chesapeake office at Atlantic Yacht Basin in Chesapeake, Virginia. A Virginia Beach native, he brings deep local knowledge of the Chesapeake Bay and Intracoastal Waterway, along with hands-on experience in yacht sales, brokerage operations, vessel preparation, and survey coordination.

Parker grew up around boats, sailing International FJs at Norfolk Yacht and Country Club and boating on the Chesapeake Bay and Elizabeth River. At age 12, he began operating a 13-foot Boston Whaler, learning boat handling and maintenance firsthand. His early connection to the water has shaped a career focused on helping buyers and sellers make informed decisions.

After earning a B.S.B.A. in Marketing with a minor in Graphic Design from High Point University in 2012, Parker began his career in direct marketing and management. He returned to Virginia Beach to join Virginia Yacht Brokers, where he advanced from sales and office administration to yacht broker and vice president, overseeing much of the brokerage’s day-to-day operations.

At Virginia Yacht Brokers, Parker worked primarily with motor yachts and trawlers from 30 to 60 feet, while also handling a wide range of other vessels. He developed listings, prepared yachts for photography and video, operated vessels during sea trials and surveys, coordinated closings, and helped troubleshoot onboard systems. His work across the sales process gives him a practical understanding of what it takes to bring a yacht to market and guide a transaction through closing.

To deepen his technical knowledge and better support clients during surveys, Parker completed Chapman School of Seamanship’s Small Craft and Yacht Surveying program in 2019. He is ABYC Standards Certified and his technical training informs his approach to vessel condition, maintenance, and survey findings.

Parker’s local ties extend beyond the brokerage. He worked at Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club through high school and college, eventually becoming Pool and Youth Director. He remains closely connected to the Hampton Roads boating community and has cruised throughout the Caribbean, Hawaii, and the Pacific.

At Worth Avenue Yachts, Parker works with clients buying and selling yachts from the Chesapeake region and beyond. His combination of local knowledge, marketing experience, and hands-on technical background helps clients navigate each stage of the yacht brokerage process.
