As you walk into the salon from the cockpit through a set of double doors, you can immediately appreciate her 18’4” beam which makes “Eagle Aye” seem like a much bigger yacht. The teak and holly floor is partially covered and protected by a custom rug which extends the length of the whole room. To port there is a comfortable settee with a wet bar area forward which includes a large counter with sink, wine cooler, and refrigerator with ice maker. To starboard, she was built with an L-shaped settee and a desk just forward of it. The middle of the room is accented with a gorgeous high gloss teak table, finished with a camphor burl top. Looking forward, there is a large flat screen TV with cabinets with glass doors to either side. The salon has ample storage all the way around including under
the settees, under counter at the bar, and forward under the TV.

Sitting here you have a 360 degree view of your surroundings, ideal for dinner with a view while at anchor. Just to starboard of the dining area
is the lower helm. With a centerline Stidd captains' chair and an array of electronics at your fingertips, this helm station is equipped to cruise anywhere you wish. Just above the captains' head while sitting on the helm chair, there is an indicator panel that includes any breakers needed for navigation, controls for your stabilizers, ship
information, tank tender just to name a few. The pilothouse is equipped with access doors on both port and starboard sides, providing easy access to the side decks and the bow area. The teak and holly floor in this space is also covered and protected by a beautiful custom rug.

The Twin Caterpillar C-18 Engines sit on robust stainless wrapped stringers atop soft mounts which greatly reduce vibration contributing to the Marlow Explorer ’s reputation for a “smooth ride.”. Each engine and generator has its own pair of Racor fuel filters for redundancy. There are 2 intake fans and 2 exhaust fans designed to quickly cool down the space after running the vessel. The engine room has standing headroom and has been designed to allow easy access to all equipment. Placing fuel tanks forward of the engine room allows the full beam to be used for upgraded equipment placement. The twin sea chests provide all sea water to the engine room through redundant sea chests that are cross plumbed, as seen in the highest quality mega
yacht builders, commercial ships, and military vessels. Upgraded 21kW Onan generator in custom sound box and mounted forward in the engine room provide sufficient electrical power at sea (the generator will independently carry the entire vessel’s electrical load). The Naiad stabilizer hydraulic system is also found here in the engine room. The fuel tank is located at the vessel’s center of gravity which translates into no requirement of fuel management for trim or ballast, allowing all supply and return valves to remain open unless equipment isolation is desired. Fuel levels can be checked via sight tube mounted up against the fuel tank on the forward part of the engine room where it is easily accessed and viewed.
