From here the driver will escort you to the vehicle and transfer you to the bustling city of Havana. fortress-havanaOnce in Havana you and your guests will enjoy a private lunch of local cuisine at a secluded Paladar. After lunch enjoy a tour of local galleries and meet the artists. At 21:00 hours the private minibus driver will collect your party in old Havana and drive to the Havana Fortress to witness the canon firing.

The canon ceremony is held each night at the La Cabaña fortress. The Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabaña was built around 1774 by the Spaniards to control the access to the Port of Havana of the Havana Port. Soldiers dress in 18th century uniform fire canons over Havana bay at precisely 9 p.m. It is a historical reconstruction dating back to the colonial era when the cannon fire announced the official end of the day and the time to close the city gates for the night. We advise people to be on time as good places with an excellent view are limited.
